While both tubs share similar guidelines, the primary difference is that the Arctic Premium Tub is compatible with a chilling machine, while the Portable Ice-Only Tub requires the addition of ice.

Before setting up your Arctic Premium Tub with the chilling machine, please review these essential safety and maintenance tips:

• Dry, Even Surface: Always place the chilling machine on a flat, dry surface. Never submerge the machine in water to avoid electrical hazards.
• Ventilation: Ensure the chilling machine is placed in a well-ventilated area. Maintain at least one foot of space between the machine and any walls or obstructions to allow proper airflow. Overheating due to poor ventilation can cause the machine to malfunction. If used outdoors, ensure the machine is shaded from direct sunlight.
• Water Level Check: Verify that the tub is filled above the minimum water level before turning on the machine. Do not exceed the maximum water line. Running the machine with insufficient water can damage the pump and void the warranty.
• Valve Position: Before starting the chilling machine, ensure both the inlet and outlet valves are fully open. The valves are color-coded (red and green) for easy identification. Incorrect valve positions can damage the pump.
• Post-Session Care: After each session, open the filtration system to air it out. This helps prevent mold buildup and ensures the system stays clean.
• Water Changes: Regularly replace the water in your tub to reduce strain on the filtration system and extend the life of the filter.
• Filter Maintenance: Keep the filter clean to maintain smooth water flow. If there is a blockage or air contact, the machine will stop. If the water flow slows down, add more water to the filtration vessel and ensure it’s sealed tightly.

Location and Setup

• Both tubs require careful setup to ensure optimal performance. Here’s what you need to know:
• Setup Requirements: Make sure the location has access to a reliable water supply, drainage, and, for the Arctic Premium Tub, electricity (if using the chilling machine). Once filled, the tub is difficult to move, so choose a stable location.
• Proper Placement: Always place the tub on a flat, level surface. Ensure there is proper drainage to avoid water buildup around the tub. If used outdoors, choose a shaded area to prevent ice from melting too quickly.
• Safety Check for Arctic Premium Tub with Chilling Machine: When using the chilling machine, ensure it is in a well-ventilated space, with ample room around it for airflow. This will help prevent overheating.

Pre-Setup Reminders

• Inflating the Tub: Fully inflate the tub before filling it with water to avoid any distortion or damage.

Cleaning the Tub:

• Before First Use: Wipe the tub down or hose it off to remove any dust or debris that may have accumulated during shipping or storage.
• Dispose of Initial Water: Once cleaned, discard the first batch of water used for washing the tub. This ensures that no residues remain and affects the water quality for your cold plunge.

Filling the Tub with Water

• Ice Option (Portable Ice-Only Tub and Arctic Premium Tub without Chiller): If you are not using the chilling machine, fill the tub with water and add 50-100 kg of ice. For faster cooling, you can add ice while waiting for the chilling machine (if purchased later).

Cooling Process

• Using the Chilling Machine (Arctic Premium Tub): The chilling unit will cool the water to your desired temperature (recommended range: 10-15°C). Once the water reaches the desired chill, you are ready for your cold plunge.

• Ice-Only Option (Portable Ice-Only Tub and Arctic Premium Tub without Chiller): If using ice, monitor the water temperature with a thermometer and add more ice as needed to maintain your desired chill.
